VeeCon 1 tickets
Gary Vaynerchuk drew the VEE CON letters. I worked color into them, and together they became the tickets for VeeCon 2022.

A reason to spend some time drawing
I took this on partly because I needed to slow down. Spending hours doodling was relaxing, and I liked being able to keep making something in the process. Gary made variations of each letter; I worked sections of the color spectrum into them.
The tickets combine those letters and colors with different backgrounds. I also painted 30 watercolor postcard one-of-ones that appear among the collection, with VeeCon written in black. Each ticket was an ERC-721 artwork on Ethereum and admission to the event.

Letters and watercolors
Examples published in the original VeeFriends artwork reveal. The postcard is one of 30 watercolor one-of-ones in the collection.

Looking closer
There is hand drawing and watercolor painting within the generated combinations.

Where it fits
This collaboration brought the Squiggle's color system into Gary's hand-drawn lettering and an object people used to attend an event.

The artwork reveal, ticket airdrop, event record, and later VeeFriends burn-to-mint program are linked on this page. The sources use different dates for the snapshot, airdrop, artwork reveal, and event. They also give different supply and background counts; the labels and source notes below keep those distinctions visible. Later burns mean the circulating ticket count is not the original edition size.
