Clay and code

I made the pinch pots and photographed them. The overhead photograph shown here is the one I superimposed onto a background from an older algorithm I had not released. The shape of the clay stays visible alongside the geometry of the code.

The edition was released through PROOF Grails II in 2022. Later, anyone who owned a Bookends piece could claim one of my Scrappy Little Pots. Ceramics had been part of my life for years through the tile business, and here I brought something made by hand directly into the image.

Scrappy Little Pots

Anyone who owned a Bookends piece could claim one of these physical pots.
