A Few Notes
What I was doing here
The short version
I paired an unreleased background algorithm from 2018 with photos of little ceramic pinch pots I made by hand.
How It Works
I photographed the pinch pots and placed them into compositions made by the older background algorithm. The code and the slightly wonky handmade forms have to share the image.
What’s underneath
I grew up around ceramic tile, so clay was part of my visual life long before code was. Holders could also claim physical bowls, which sent the work back out of the screen again.
Go look around
The PROOF page, gallery record, and OpenSea collection below are the easiest places to see the small edition together.
Easy to miss
The pots are not renders. I made them, photographed them, and then put those photographs into the generative compositions.
Where it led
This is a little bridge between the ceramics I grew up with and the later projects where the code starts making instructions, files, and objects for the real world.
Where to find it
